DMV

How long will it be before I receive my title?

Your title work may take anywhere from six to eight weeks from the date of purchase. It must first be processed through the dealership before being sent to the DM. Once your title work is processed and your title and registration are produced by the DMV you or your lien holder will receive the title. You will receive the registration.

When will I receive my license plates?

You will receive yor license plates once your DMV work has been processed. This can take 2 to 4 weeks from the date of purchase. You will receive them in the mail or you will be notified by mail where you can pick them up.

Washington DMV work...

Please notify us of which licensing office you would like to be sent to. If you finanace your estimated title fees at the time of sale you will receive a check for the Washington DMV in the mail for that amount within 3 weeks after your financing is approved. You can then take that check directly to the licensing office to have your DMV work processed. If you do not finance your fees at the time of sale it will be your responsibility to pay those fees as soon as possible as the trip permit you receive for your vehicle at the time of purchase is valid only in the state of Oregon. Also, please remember that our tax calculations are an estimate. If there is any difference in the tax at the time you title your vehicle you are responsible for that difference.

 

WARRANTIES

When does my coverage begin?

The date of coverage should be shown somewhere on your contract. It is usually the date of purchase. If you have purchased a Toyota Certified Used vehicle the date the coverage begins on is the date of first use. For example: the coverage on a Certified Used 1999 Toyota Tacoma would have begun on the date of original purchase in 1999. If you then bought the Tacoma in 2003, and it has the 6 year coverage plan, your truck would be covered for two more years. The coverage would end in 2005, six years after the first use of the vehicle.

What does my contract consist of?

For this information yo can contact your warranty provider. The phone number is listed on the back of this pamphlet for easier reference. They will be able to provide you with the specific details you need to know about your coverage and answer any questions you may have concerning your coverage. Your coverage does not cover problems that occur before the time of sale. Rentals, diagnostics, and repair will only be covered upon approval from your warranty provider. Please remember that we are acting as agents only in the sale of your contract. The original contract comes from your warranty provider and you should receive it within 30 days. Please make certain that you read your policy.

What do I do if I lose my paperwork or it is missing?

You can contact the title office where your information is kept on file. The title office is open Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm. You can reach the office at 503-667-1135.

We Promise Information:

If you have signed a "We Promise" form for work to be done on your vehicle you will receive a telephone call within 3 business days to schedule that service. If you do not hear from our service department within 3 business days please call our service department anytime Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm at 503-667-1135 Ext. 171 to schedule your service.

Payment Coupons:

We do not produce your payment coupons. Your payment coupons come directly from the company you have financed your vehicle with. If you have not received your coupon book before your first payment is due please call the company you have financed your vehicle through. They will be able to provide you with the information you need to make your payment.

Toyota Auto Care Coupons:

You should receive you TAC (coverage for oil changes) coupons in the mail within 4 to 6 weeks. Please watch closely for them as many people have mistaken them for "junk mail". If you do not receive your TAC coupons in 6 weeks, please call Toyota Financial Services at 1-800-228-8559.
